Happy Waterlogue Bastille Day! How better to celebrate this country I love so much than with a blue sky, some red balloons, and the Eiffel Tower (+ some fireworks). How did you celebrate?

  1. This post brings a great memories! I celebrated Bastille Day in Paris as a wide-eyed 14 year old in 1964. The streets were wild with revelers, the heat was awful and I fainted at the Folies:-) And I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world. If interested, here’s a video of my dad’s kodachromes of Paris, summer of ’64. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSDuMeh1F-I Have a very happy week, wherever you might be!

    1. Wow, so cool! I bet that was fantastic so experience. They certainly put on quite a show every year. Thanks for the link; I’m going to go watch it.
