I’ve loved Valentine’s Day since I was a little girl. I think what I love is that it comes after (an often dreary) winter and feels like a ray of hope looking toward Spring with all the bright colors and flowers. 💐🌹
I’ve compiled a few colorful shots to share today to commemorate this love-filled day. Enjoy❣️
Here’s a continuation of the photos from Rome. I wandered (as I do everywhere) for hours and hours by myself looking for picturesque scenes and vibrant colors typical of Rome. I even wore a vibrant skirt, myself, in case there were any nice spots to shoot with me in the shot. I particularly love the façade photo, as it shows the many colors of the City, as well as lots of beautiful vines and lanterns. Check my website and etsy soon for prints for sale.
A few hours to myself in Roma, and I headed straight for a neighborhood I largely missed out on last time I was in Rome. The Rione Monti neighborhood keeps appearing in my Instagram feed, so I was eager to shoot there this trip. I hope you enjoy the photos and watercolors from the shoot. Last year, I spent three weeks discovering Rome on my own. I arrived in late November, just as Christmas decorations were starting to go up around the city. I loved seeing the subtle and classy way Romans decorate to celebrate. One of my favorite things to see was the Christmas tree at the bottom of the Bramante Staircase. What an extraordinary sight, and one I was lucky enough to get without people in it. (Patience required. 😉 )
